Hey guys. Welcome to my blog.
So today was the day that me and my family said goodbye to my brother’s best friend Tyreece. It was a really sad day for us all and I simply still can’t get over the fact that he’s gone.
It was a nice, quiet ceremony with all his family and friend’s. His little coffin decorated with dinosaurs (They were his favorite) and his hat he loved to wear….
Tyreece was a character. He would tell jokes that didn’t makes sense, he loved the avengers and had all the costumes and props. His favorite characters were The Incredible Hulk and Captain America. He had a quirky fashion sense and he, along with my brother, would sing Ed Sheeran’s Castle On The Hill together. Their favorite song.
I remember when Tyreece came to my brothers birthday. He was dressed up as Captain America and was a very wonderful young man. Even now, I can remember it like it was yesterday.
And I know that even though he’s not with us physically, he’s with us spiritually and from the heart. He will never be forgotten and will forever be remembered.
I’m not gonna lie, I was a total wreck during the ceremony. I just couldn’t bare to imagine what his parents must be going through. Even by just thinking about it all bring’s a tear to my eye. There was so many people there who came to celebrate his life. So many that me and my mum ended up standing…but I didn’t mind. His last goodbye song was Ed Sheeran’s Castle On The Hill….And as we all left, some went up to his coffin and blew a kiss. I was one of them.
I recognized quite a few people at the ceremony. A number of them being teachers from my brother’s school. Teacher’s who taught both my brother and Tyreece.
As a goodbye, my brother wrote a message on a little card, tied it to a balloon, and let it go in the garden.
All I can do now, is remember Tyreece threw photographs from my brother’s birthday and memories…
I know George will never forget Tyreece. And as I said before, even though he’s not with us physically, he’s with us spiritually and from the heart. He live’s on through everyone who knew him.
“Rest in peace Tyreece, you will never be forgotten. I hope your doing well up in heaven and having fun… Sleep well little man”
