The Miracle Work Of Green Tea!

Tea is enjoyed every where in the world! From England to China it is known to have many types.

Green Tea is the healthiest beverage you can get! It is full of antioxidants and nutrients that help with the daily body cycle. It benefits the body by flushing out all the toxins in your system and is one of the number 1’s when it comes to weight loss and brain improvement and it also reduces your risk of Cancer!

The leaves of Camellia Sinensis (The leaves of which the Green Tea is made from) have large amounts of important nutrients like Polyphenols, which function as powerful antioxidants. These substances protect cells and molecules in the body from damage. These radicals play an important part in slowing down the aging process, body development and protection from all sorts of diseases.

There are many types of Green Tea, ranging from Pure Green Tea to night time. Here are a few brands you may be familiar with!

Pure Green Tea is rejuvenating and refreshing. Nothing artificial is added to the tea bags, and they are not bleached! Also when the box is finished with, it can be recycled and it is biodegradable! (It can be decomposed by bacteria and other living organisms and does not contribute to pollution). It provides the body with energy and the tea is in compliance with fair trade 100%. It’s strong, herbal taste that warms your body, and will relax you on stressful days. It’s pure, richness is natural, fair and delicious. Just like it says on the box!

Organic White Tea is exactly what it says on the box! It’s light, delicious and highly refreshing and is made from the buds of the tea bush sourced in Fujian province in South East China, the traditional home of White Tea. It is not as strong as Green Tea but it has a similar taste. With a pale white color, it almost tastes of hot milk and is great for snuggling up on the sofa with a good book, while watching your favorite T.V program!(COUGH COUGH The Walking Dead COUGH COUGH )

Tetley Super Green Tea is great for flu sufferers! It is high in vitamin B1, B2, B6, biotin and vitamin B12 and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue. This boost is lime flavoured, but there are others like Tetleys Immune Super Green Tea with the taste of lemon and honey and is high in vitamin C and Tetleys Boost Berry Burst with vitamin B6 AND Tetleys Immune Tropical with Vitamin C.

This Green Tea was created by the blend of juicy peach from China with the beautifully pink and white cherry blossom (a symbol of the clouds in its Japanese homeland. To make this wonderful blend of Green Tea, Twining’s choose their first and second flush Green Tea’s from 3 tea gardens, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces. These are picked during spring as this is when the best tea’s are in season. Cherry blossom and peach were chosen because of it’s oriental, refreshing taste.

All Green Tea is great for weight loss! Even if you were to have one a day, it would help flush out your bowel and make you feel lighter and more relaxed. But you don’t want to drink more than 3 Green Tea’s unless you want to have a toilet on standby! XD

I drink Green Tea 2 times a day and it is awesome! I feel refreshed and relaxed, and is great for bed time! I drink a tea in the morning to give me energy for the day and one in the afternoon after gym when I’m working on a new post! It help’s me concentrate 😉 Give it a try! Green Tea is amazing! (And it hydrates the skin!) If your not to sure about Pure Green Tea, then try one of the flavored one’s, they all do good! 🙂

See Ya!

When You’re Hungry, Eat Some Shortbread.

I love shortbread, I could eat it everyday if it didn’t make me put on weight! It would be classed as a miracle food and have its own slogan like ‘EAT IT, POOP IT, REPEAT~’. That would be funny, I’d give it a 10/10 just because of that XD.

Lots of people love shortbread, that’s why it is popular! My cousin was like ‘I don’t like shortbread’ and I was like ‘what? your crazy woman, CRAZY!’:D But hey! everyone is entitled to their own opinion! If everyone was the same we would be one boring population.

Okay! rant over.

This is a recipe I wanted to share with you all, because everyone deserves something naughty once in a while! Shhhh! I won’t tell if you won’t! 😉

This recipe makes 20-25 shortbread, depending on the size that you want them!

  • Plain flour- 180g/6oz
  • Caster sugar-80g/3oz
  • Stork butter-125g/4-1/2oz

  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Table spoon
  • Cookie Cutter

Preparation time: 30 minutes               Cooking time: 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Health instructions

  1. Wash hands well before you start cooking, you don’t want bacteria poisoning the treats.
  2. If you have long hair, then tie it up with a hairband to reduce the risk of hair in your short bread.
  3. Wear an apron (Recommended) to keep your clothes from getting dirty.
  4. Avoid coughing, sneezing and scratching your head around your cooking space bacteria will invade and your shortbread will sprout hair!

  1. Preheat the oven to 190c/375f/Gas 5
  2. Put the butter and sugar into the mixing bowl and beat with a spoon until it is light and fluffy. (Like fluffy clouds in the sky)

3. Then add the flour and stir well until it looks like a crumble that sticks together when compressed and forms a dough. Be careful to not leave clumps of butter otherwise the dough will be gooey.( If the mixture is gooey then add some more flour/If the mixture is too dry then consider adding more butter or 2 teaspoons of milk)

4. Sprinkle a hard, flat surface with flour then place your ball of dough in the center.(Be sure to have a clean space when following this instruction.)

5. With your rolling pin, flatten your dough so it is about half a centimeter thick.(Before you begin, sprinkle your dough with a pinch of flour as well as your rolling pin to stop your mixture from sticking to the pin.)

6. With your desired cookie cutter or knife, begin to cut out shapes. (Don’t be too rough, cookies have feeling too)

7. Place your soon to be shortbread cut outs onto a non greased tray.(They think they are going to Disney world, don’t tell them the truth!)

8. With a slender point of an object like a chop stick, you can create faces on your shortbread to give them….lets say character! So when you bite the head off that smiling shortbread, your sure to feel bad! XD

9. After customizing your naughty treats, sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar over them and place them in the oven and time them for 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.

(And now you wait…and wait…and DSC_0496wait…you know you want those shortbread biscuits…they are calling your name saying “EAT US!~ PLEASE~enter your name here! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO,    WITH US BEING DELICIOUS AND ALL!~”)

10. When cooked, place the shortbread cookies onto a cooling rack to cool down (or plate if you don’t have a cooling rack)

11. ….You can probably guess what number 11 is right? Well let me give you a hint. It involves your shortbread and your desire to eat them because they smell amazing…

Go on. Have a shortbread, you deserve it after putting up with my nonsense!XD

Watch out guys…she is about….you might want to do a shortbread count.

My top 10 songs!! #10

I have a large passion for music and I always will! From a secret sing-a-long on a bus to rocking out in the kitchen, I always manage to listen to a jam or two:). My taste in music began to develop when I was young. My dad would (still does) play music in the kitchen or in the car like Kate Bush and Deacon Blue which I have begun to love! He would (still does) also get out his acoustic guitar and play a song, or even play one of his own which was always my favorite:). But over the years my taste in music began to develop and i started listening to different types like rock, pop, jazz and many more. I also started to listen to music from other countries like France, Japan, Spain, China, South Korea etc..

Anyways, here we are with the moment you have all been waiting for! i give you… MY TOP 10 SONGS!!
